Idealphotonics offers a high-power highly-reliable fiber laser solution for the manipulation of Rb atoms in applications such as laser cooling and atom inter-ferometry etc. It consists an all-fiber Er amplifier seeded with an ultra-narrow linewidth DFB fiber laser at 1560 nm, and a single-pass frequency doubling unit with periodically poled nonlinear crystal, which converts the laser to 780nm in stable single pass configuration.
The 780 nm fiber laser emits higher power (as much as 15 W) with narrower linewidth (Lorentz linewidth less than 1 kHz) and excellent beam quality (M2<1.2). It remains mode-hopping-free and stable under wide temperature variation and high mechanical vibration, which is great for frequency locking. The fiber laser is an optimal solution for applications in outdoor harsh.
